Description
The Ancho Chile, or “wide chile,” is a dried, red poblano chile pepper. It has a mild heat of 1,000 to 1,500 Scoville Heat Units with a pleasant, sweet raisin flavor. Ancho Chilies are a key ingredient in mole sauce.
